From April 10 to 17, to celebrate the arrival of spring, the Pablo Casals Festival embarks on its annual regional tour, featuring the Vivancos Quartet in a series of performances at the Rivesaltes Memorial, the Chapel of the Hermitage in Font-Romeu, and the Dominican Church in Perpignan, in partnership with the Sacred Music Festival. The festival will then return to its usual summer dates from July 28 to August 8, 2025!

The organization and programming of the Spring Tour concerts are a testament to the enduring spirit of Pablo Casals, resonating throughout the year and across various stages. Pierre Bleuse, artistic director of the festival since 2021, saw it as a natural progression to take the festival beyond its traditional home in Prades, spreading the musical fervor of young talents—many of whom were discovered in past editions—across the Occitanie region. This spring, the Prades Festival will be proudly represented by the Vivancos Quartet, which, in addition to performing chamber music masterpieces, will also premiere a recent composition by Bernat Vivancos, further emphasizing the festival’s distinctive identity.

From Perpignan to Font-Romeu Odeillo-Via, and through the Rivesaltes Memorial – a place of remembrance for the displaced, much like Casals himself – audiences are invited to experience exceptional concerts. Music, as a universal language, brings people together across all borders.
